ŽDB Drátovna presented itself again, and after 6 years, at the specialized trade fair WIRE and Tube in Düsseldorf, Germany. Regular participation has been disrupted by recent turbulent years, so not only for us, but also for colleagues from the industry, the fair was an ideal place to make visible the results of our work in the past years and to present the visions of the company’s further development.

Five containers of duct wire delivered to a leading American pipeline manufacturer
Téměř po dvou letech se nám opět podařilo zajistit kontrakt na dodávku tak zvaných „duct wire“ neboli vodících drátů vzduchotechniky pro amerického výrobce.

A new segment of wind power supply opens up
In December last year, after a certification process that took almost a year, we succeeded in obtaining the approval of the Technical University of Munich and the German Institute for Construction to supply stabilized wire with a diameter of 7.0 mm for the wind power industry. This opens up a new supply segment for us.

Fishing ropes from Bohumín head to the Falklands for the first time in history
Falklandské ostrovy leží na jižní polokouli asi 500 km od pobřeží Argentiny, přesto jsou součástí Velké Británie. Význam ostrovů spočívá třeba v tom, že k nim náleží tzv. výlučná ekonomická zóna. To znamená, že do vzdálenosti 370 km mohou jejich obyvatelé rybařit a v budoucnu možná i těžit ropu.

ŽDB Drátovna produces its own steam for two plants and hot water
Společnost ŽDB Drátovna si od konce loňského roku pro své dva provozy Tažírna patentovaného drátu (TPD) a Tažírna nepatentovaného drátu (TND) sama vyrábí páru pro technologické účely. Od letošního ledna horkou vodu pro vytápění. Dosud páru i horkou vodu do těchto dvou provozů dodávala externí firma. Náhrada externího zdroje povede ke komplexnímu osamostatnění bohumínské firmy na dodávkách těchto komodit.

Deliveries to a leading manufacturer of fasteners for the automotive industry started
From January 2024, we started serial deliveries of drawn annealed wire to the Nedschroef plant in Alten. The actual signing of the contract was preceded by trial deliveries, in which we passed with flying colors not only in terms of material quality, but also thanks to an interesting price and reference deliveries to our existing customers, whose significance on the market is comparable to the Nedschroef group.

The first delivery of mining ropes to Brazil is behind us
In January 2024, the first delivery of 11 tons of ropes from triangular strands took place for the multinational mining company Anglogold Ashanti, which will be operated at the Mina Cuiaba gold mine in Minas Geiras province.
